Welsh Beef mini pizzas

  • Serves 4


  • Small pizza bases (use halved bread muffins, small naan bread, pitta bread, mini pizza bases etc.)
  • 350g lean PGI Welsh Beef mince
  • 2 tbsp tomato purée
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • ½ tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 100g cheese, grated (cheddar or mozzarella)

A selection of chopped vegetables and ingredients for toppings, for example:

  • Peppers
  • Mushrooms
  • Onions
  • Halved cherry tomatoes
  • Olives
  • Salami slices


  1. Dry fry the mince for 10 minutes until browned and cooked, keeping in it small clumps.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 180°C fan / Gas 6.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, purée and herbs.
  4. Place the bread bases onto a large baking sheet. Spread some of the tomato mixture onto each bread base and top with the cheese, the cooked mince and a selection of your other ingredients.
  5. Place in the oven for approximately 10-12 minutes until the toppings are piping hot.

Tip: Great for the kids to make and to use up bits of vegetables you might have in your fridge.
