Air Fried Welsh Beef Topside Joint

Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg Welsh Beef topside joint
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp garlic granules

  1. Take the beef joint out of the fridge 30 minutes prior to cooking.
  2. Mix together 1 tbsp of the oil, salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary and garlic granules .
  3. Use the remaining oil to coat the beef, ensuring all surfaces are covered.
  4. Cover the top with the herb paste.
  5. Place the beef in the basket.
  6. Pre heat the air fryer to 200 oC.
  7. Cook the beef for 15 minutes to crisp the surface, reduce the heat to 170 oC and cook for remaining time 15-17 minutes per 500g.
  8. If using a temperature probe cook:Rare 48 – 52 oCMedium Rare 55-59 oC Medium 60-66 oC Well done 67-71 oC.
  9. When cooked to your liking remove from the air fryer and loosely covered with foil and rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.
