It’s that time of year again when the great and the good of the agricultural world descend on Llanelwedd to celebrate the pinnacle of British agriculture, doesn’t time fly?

As usual we have a packed schedule of events on our stand, all focused on showcasing the unique qualities and health benefits of our PGI accredited Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef. We’ll also share the latest research and myth busting facts about the real environmental impact of Welsh farming.

You don’t just have to take our word for it, we will be joined at this year’s show by an array of acclaimed chefs, butchers and producers sharing their industry secrets and tips for preparing and cooking so you can get the very best results at home.

Our first guest will need no introduction to followers of our work; internet cooking sensation and 2019 ‘Lambassador’ Chris Roberts. He will bring his unique cooking style and humour to our barbecue area all through the week, so all visitors are guaranteed the chance to taste the delights of his dishes.

Alongside him we have two of the most celebrated chefs working in Wales right now. Gareth Ward of Michelin Star and five AA rosette restaurant, Ynys Hir in mid Wales continues to make headlines and win awards for his ‘ingredients led, meat obsessed’ dishes. Owain Hill from family-run restaurant, Hills near Brecon will also be making his mouth-watering and award winning burgers made, of course, using locally sourced produce. If you want a taste of Owain’s amazing burgers take a look at a video he made for us earlier this year.

Representing the butchers, we are again joined by a high calibre of professionals throughout the week who will be giving masterclasses in their craft. The first, Dewi James Butchers, Cardigan, is the official HCC’s meat supplier for this year’s Show and was selected following a competition for members of our Butchers’ Club. Julien Pursglove, one of only 30 master butchers worldwide and freelance butcher Mark McArdle will also provide us with live demonstrations offering us all a fascinating insight into their fields.

If you can’t make it to the show this year be sure to follow our social media accounts to experience and re-live some of the multiple highlights on show!
