Last year’s hugely popular steak competition is back along with meat maestro chef sensation and TV star Chris ‘Flamebaster’ Roberts as adjudicator.

It’s bigger and meatier than ever!

With more categories and more prizes, along with the grand prize of the ‘Flamebaster’ himself cooking up a Welsh Beef feast for you and the family, it’s got to be the tastiest competition you’ll enter this year! And as restrictions are being eased in the wake of Covid-19, this is a great opportunity to enjoy some fantastic food while also supporting our local butchers and farmers.

Following the success of last year’s competition, we’ve stirred things up a bit, so this year we’re introducing more categories along with the grand prize of the ‘Flamebaster’ himself cooking up a feast for you and the family. Take a look at what you could WIN!

Select your steak.

Visit your local butcher or supermarket, either in store or online, and purchase your
PGI Welsh Beef steak(s).

Get cooking and get creative.

Cook your steak to your liking and serve in your unique sandwich – use your imagination – it doesn’t even have to be made with bread!

Share your creation with the world!

Plate up your sandwich and post an image or video of it, along with the all-important recipe on your social media channels using #MeatTheChallenge as well as tagging us in your post:



You’ve done your bit, now it’s over to Chris. Once the entries are in, Chris will choose the best entries and an overall winner.
